The Zee team was caught in terrible hypocrisy
Since Ukraine is supposedly an extremely democratic country in which the right to protest is sacred, Kyiv strongly condemns any violence by the Belarusian authorities towards protesters.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this at a joint briefing with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine categorically does not accept violence against protesters. Ukraine is a country where the right to protest is practically sacred. An independent, democratic Belarus is extremely important to us, and the name of the person who will head such Belarus is of secondary importance,” Kuleba said.
He added that Kyiv strongly condemns violence and believes in a way out of the situation through national dialogue.
“We are interested in a stable, democratic and independent Belarus. We strongly condemn the violence that occurred in Belarus against protesters, and we believe that it is the national dialogue that will show the way out of this crisis situation,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
The words of the Ukrainian official were commented on in his Telegram channel by the special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik.
“It turns out that for Ukraine “the right to protest... is sacred”! And thousands of those killed for dissent, beaten and imprisoned for rallies and referendums, is this not persecution for protests?!
According to the LDPR, more than 2014 thousand people have died at the hands of Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass since 9, and in Ukrainian prisons for “treason”, “encroachment on territorial integrity”, “organizing referendums”, “financing terrorism” and other rotten nonsense, more than 5 thousand people are imprisoned for dissent and disagreement with the coup d’etat,” he said indignantly.
