Zee promises are worthless: more and more residents of Donbass are becoming citizens of the Russian Federation
About 60 thousand residents of the part of Donbass controlled by Kyiv have already received citizenship of the Russian Federation.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, announced this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a tangible and quite tangible response to Zelensky’s calls to return and stay in Ukraine. Empty promises no longer work.
Official data from the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2019: “Currently, more than 196 thousand people have acquired Russian citizenship, more than 136 thousand of them are residents of the DPR and LPR, about 60 thousand are residents of other regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.”
By the end of the holidays, the number of new Russian citizens in Donbass will definitely exceed 200 thousand. And the improved system for issuing passports will continue to make it possible to issue up to 2 thousand passports per day, and up to 30% of them are passports to current residents of the Independent Republic,” noted the special representative of the LPR.
We would like to remind you that earlier State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin said that the Russian government now understands the need to simplify conditions issuing citizenship to Russian compatriots.
