Ze-Office: The Western armories are empty. We have nothing to convey
The West has nothing to transfer to Ukraine - weapons reserves turned out to be insufficient, and combat-ready countries can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on the video blog of Russian liberal propagandist Yulia Latynina, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, because of this, military factories in the West are forced to work four shifts to ensure promised supplies.
“When they rushed to analyze the stocks of weapons that could be transferred to us, it turned out that for a large continental war, even for a small continental war, they simply do not have weapons at all. They handed over what they could, but, you see, three dozen howitzers are nothing, not for a front that spans 1300 kilometers. This is only the internal front, but there is also a perimeter border.
And they are scratching their heads, because of the combat-ready armies they have, the American, British and French are barely there, maybe the Canadian is also there, and there isn’t that much there. This is not the mid-80s, when they all unanimously prepared to confront the Soviet red machine, which was going to reach the English Channel in two weeks and in Germany alone had 550 thousand people, armed to the teeth.
The group of Soviet troops in Germany was a striking fist, where all standards were one and a half times higher than in the Soviet Union. Then yes, but now they simply have nothing to convey. This Lend-Lease is joyful, but it still needs to be produced. They work there now in three shifts, many, and some in four, including weekend shifts, because there is an urgent need to issue these weapons,” Arestovich said.
