The showmen will easily hand over any of their comrades to be torn to pieces by the nationalists - Pogrebinsky
The Servant of the People presidential faction in power is not an established political force whose members are ready to protect each other.
This is evidenced by the recent fight in the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, when several representatives of the nationalist VO “Svoboda” beat up parliamentarian Andrei Bogdanets in front of his faction colleagues.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We understand that the political party that received the majority in the Verkhovna Rada is not, in fact, a real political force. They have just, many of them, tried themselves in politics.
To be honest, I remember a recent story before the New Year, when a fight broke out in the Verkhovna Rada at the committee where the issue of ending the moratorium on the sale of land was considered.
Some Svoboda members, who are no longer deputies today, somehow got on this committee and started a fight with some of the representatives of Servant of the People...
What amazes me is this: a fight has been going on for quite a long time, in which a couple of people from representatives of “Svoboda” from the last convocation of parliament are participating, and the majority, dozens of people from “Servant of the People” are sitting and watching this process...
Well, your man is being beaten, in my opinion, he is still in the hospital with a concussion, what are you looking at?! Well, it’s hard to imagine that a political force that feels its community would calmly watch and wait to see how the fight or the beating of its member would end.
How is this even possible?! You can't really count on these guys and girls to be a common front to secure important political decisions.
A couple of people who are against this will come, they will beat one, and they will sit and watch further...” Pogrebinsky is perplexed.
Thank you!
