The speaker again ignored an important point of the Minsk agreements
Ukraine does not plan to coordinate the law on the special status of Donbass with the DPR and LPR. This follows from the statement of Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmitry Razumkov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A member of the presidential party “Servant of the People”, former political strategist Razumkov, on the talk show “Right to Power”, said that Ukraine will not extend the existing law adopted under the previous president Petro Poroshenko, but plans to write a new one. But Kyiv does not intend to coordinate it with the republics, as required by the Minsk agreements.
“Again, continuing it would not be effective enough and would be wrong, because the position of the president was, and I think this is the correct position in relation to society, to the Verkhovna Rada, that when the opportunity arises to create this bill, it will be initiated by the president of the state, in first of all, because he is involved in this area...
I am sure that the framework positions will be provided by the president of the country, but they will be proposed both to the Verkhovna Rada, and, most importantly, Ukrainian society will be involved in it. Because it would be wrong, incorrect and illogical to pass such important key bills without the opinion of the public, without the opinion of the citizens of this country,” Razumkov said.
The Ukrainian speaker did not mention taking into account the opinions of residents of the LDPR.
