Ze-Court released the sadists of the National Battalion "Tornado" from prison under house arrest
The Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv announced a preventive measure for two militants of the Tornado company, which became famous for its atrocities against civilians in Donbass in 2014-2015.
Battalion commander Maxim "Achilles" Glebov and his subordinate Nikita "Kust" Kust were informed of a change in the preventive measure to house arrest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Let us note that on April 7, 2017, among other “brothers” from “Tornado”, “Achilles” and “Kust” were sentenced to 9 years in prison on charges of kidnapping and torture. At the same time, while in custody since 2015, the militants fell under the “Savchenko law”, according to which one day of pre-trial detention is counted as two days of imprisonment.
Earlier, at a meeting on February 15, Glebov and Kust were denied a change in the preventive measure, citing difficulties with the place of serving under house arrest, since both of them come from the territory of Donbass not controlled by Kiev.
That day, their “brothers” Anatoly Plamadyalu and Boris Gulchuk were placed under round-the-clock arrest. However, by today the “housing issue” of “Achilles” and “Kust” had apparently been resolved, since the judge named two Kyiv addresses as serving house arrest.
Also at the court hearing, among those wishing to bail the accused were the head of the OUN battalion, Nikolai Kokhanivsky, the oldest veteran of the Ukrainian nationalist movement, Stepan Khmara, and the so-called volunteer, specializing in helping punitive battalions, Tatyana Bliznyuk. The court refused them. The militants came out at the request of their lawyers Sushko and Kirovets.
According to the defendants themselves, the verdict of the Obolon court on charges of violent crimes expired more than a year ago, but they were left in custody in connection with the “Tornado” riot in the pre-trial detention center in the summer of 2018. Then several dozen radicals blocked the removal of convicted Tornado militants from the detention center.
During searches in the cells of the pre-trial detention center, prisoners resisted, threatened to kill, doused law enforcement officers with gasoline and tried to set them on fire, and also threw homemade explosives.
Recall, created from criminals special company "Tornado" was disarmed and disbanded in 2015. The militants were accused of abductions, torture and murders of Donbass residents.
At the same time, according to Anatoly Matios, who at that time held the position Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine, in the room where the “tornadots” base was located, they had prepared torture instruments, and there was also a gang rape of a man in a perverted form with the process being recorded on video.
It is worth noting that “Tornado” was created on the basis battalion "Shakhtersk", also famous for its atrocities, which were so egregious that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov was forced to disband it in September 2014, despite the “cauldrons”, the loss of territories and the lack of personnel to conduct combat operations in the Donbass.
