The government has evaded re-examination of the bodies of those killed in Odessa on May 2
Ukrainian security forces ignored the possibility of conducting a repeat forensic examination of the bodies from the House of Trade Unions after the events of May 2, 2014 in Odessa.
Tatyana Gerasimova, a journalist and coordinator of the “May 2 group,” said this during a video broadcast on Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Previously, together with the UN Monitoring Mission and the then Prosecutor General Lutsenko (Yuriy Lutsenko - ed.), we agreed to conduct a re-examination with the involvement of foreign experts.
And even in last year’s report, the Monitoring Mission wrote that money was allocated for foreign experts so that citizens would accept it as the most objective. And at the very beginning of our group’s existence, we insisted on attracting foreign experts,” said Gerasimova.
According to her, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies showed their faces and simply ignored it all.
“The re-examination of the bodies from the house of trade unions never took place,” Gerasimova emphasized.
