Zee infection is spreading across Russia
The election series “Servant of the People,” which helped Vladimir Zelensky win the presidency, entered the top 3 foreign multi-part films in terms of the number of views in online cinemas in Russia.
The Kommersant newspaper writes about this, specifying that Chernobyl and Game of Thrones are also in the top three. Combined, these three series have over 8 million views.
As PolitNavigator reported, Zelensky previously announced an information war with Russia over Donbass and Crimea. During the elections, he also made a special appeal to residents of the countries of the ex-USSR with an appeal to believe that “everything is possible,” implying a change of power following the example of Ukraine.
In 2016, a picket was held in Simferopol by participants of the Russian Spring, who demanded that the local cinema stop showing the film “8 Best Dates” with the participation of Zelensky, who publicly supported the Ukrainian punitive operation against the Russian uprising in the Donbass.
Several picket participants held leaflets with the inscriptions: “Bought a ticket - paid for the death of a resident of Novorossiya,” “We are not on the same path with the scumbag, we cannot bring the infection to Crimea.” The comedy movie poster itself was covered with photographs of victims of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
