Zelensky announced the liquidation of the SBU, GPU and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
The leader of the presidential race in Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, announced his readiness to liquidate the SBU, the GPU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Zelensky stated this in an interview with the Ukraine TV channel.
He called the war in Donbass one of the “global problems” of Ukraine, and the second is the fear of investors to invest money in the country.
“People are scared, their finances are not protected, businesses are under pressure - all possible law enforcement agencies that should not be involved in this at all. In our program (presidential candidate - ed.) all these functions of law enforcement agencies, the SBU, the GPU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs must be eliminated. To do this, it is necessary to create a separate body that should deal with economic crimes,” Zelensky said.
He added that business in the West is “waiting for guarantees” in order to build further relations with Ukraine.
“They believe that with the new president they will have a guarantee,” Zelensky noted.
The presidential candidate also said that his team discussed steps to combat corruption, reboot anti-corruption bodies, and launch an anti-corruption court.
“Two years have passed, the promises continue... I think that we can still do this,” Zelensky said.
