Zelensky fears Poroshenko and Parubiy more than his voters
In his behavior and aggressive rhetoric, the new Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is no different from his predecessor Petro Poroshenko, and therefore there is no point in replacing the old Kyiv officials.
The former head of the information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, international political scientist Oleg Voloshin stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They say that some saboteurs gave them a quote from Poroshenko. I have a question: did Mr. Zelensky give a speech in an unconscious state? Doesn't he know what he's saying? Well, you can put something on a website or somewhere else, but when a person makes a speech, he must comprehend the words he pronounces, even if he pronounces them in English.
I believe that Mr. Klimkin is absolutely right now to remain as minister, because the course that we see so far being carried out by Mr. Zelensky is no different from Poroshenko’s course: membership in NATO, “we will ruin Russia,” “no compromises,” “We will negotiate, but I don’t really want to,” Voloshin noted.
At the same time, according to the expert, it seems that the opinion of the former government and Ukrainian radicals is more important for the new president than the opinion of his voters who called for an end to the war.
“Parubiy came out and said: “The earth will burn under your feet”... One gets the impression that Parubiy, Poroshenko, the “National Corps”, “C14” in Zelensky’s team are more afraid than they are afraid of disappointing the voters of the Kharkov, Odessa, Nikolaev regions,” – Voloshin summarized.
Let us remind you that Zelensky in his speech he repeated a quote from Poroshenko word for word.
