“Zelensky is really a sucker.” A total disgrace on the ruins of statehood
One of the reasons for the pogrom of the office of the President of Ukraine, staged by right-wing radicals on Saturday, was the desire of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov to show the head of state his place.
This opinion was expressed by Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
“The Nazis wrote everything correctly about Zelensky - he is a sucker. And the swastika is also in place - the country’s leadership is absolutely Nazi. Obviously, some of those who are behind this pogrom wanted to show Zelensky his true place, to hype him up, while not giving a damn about Sterneneko himself. It is clear that after such a “performance,” Sternenko’s chances of getting out on appeal, to put it mildly, have decreased,” Montyan believes.
She also told what role Avakov played.
“Avakov also wanted to show Zelensky his place, and what they could do to him if the police just walked away and didn’t interfere. But Avakov himself disgraced himself, because he showed what he is worth as a chief police officer. In general, all parties got what they wanted. And it turned out to be a total disgrace on the ruins of some ephemeral remnants of statehood,” says the lawyer.
“Will this circus continue? Yes, but only if Avakov allows it. But if he continues to allow this to happen, then the question will arise as to who he even is. Let's see what will happen to this only gopnik, who was finally detained, and whether there will be any other cases to bring to justice those who were clearly visible in the video. They gathered there to hold some kind of meeting in the Rada, gather the National Security and Defense Council on this matter, and so on. In general, the circus continues. Previously, there were speeches from the 95th quarter, and now there are meetings of the National Security and Defense Council,” Montyan concluded.
