Zelensky pointedly ignored the call for Odessa
The elected Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky ignored the statements made the day before numerous calls for a special statement on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the massacre of Euromaidan opponents in Odessa in the House of Trade Unions, or even come to the funeral ceremony. Instead, Zelensky, as is known, voiced another anti-Russian speech.
“I am, of course, sorry that Zelensky did not respond to my call and did not make any reaction about the second of May, the promise to investigate the mass burning of Odessa residents in the House of Trade Unions. Although during the elections he repeatedly promised that he would unite all of Ukraine, and the split would remain a thing of the past. But we see that everything is still exactly the opposite. Zelensky’s silence speaks volumes,” stated ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko, who called on Zelensky to come to Odessa on May 2 to meet with the relatives of the victims.
Zhuravko himself, despite the fact that he is disabled, came to the center of Moscow today to lay flowers at the stele of the hero city of Odessa in memory of the victims of Ukrainian nationalists.
