Vladimir Zelensky has still not issued a decree on celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, which would oblige the beginning of preparations for a worthy honoring of the surviving veterans.
Kiev human rights activist Elena Berezhnaya stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our president... must definitely issue a decree on celebrating a great date - the 75th anniversary of the Victory this year. This must be done,” she said.
Berezhnaya emphasized that in Crimea and Donbass they are closely monitoring the attitude towards Victory Day in Ukraine.
"Over the past five years (here Berezhnaya is disingenuous, shielding, among other things, the Party of Regions - the process of unofficially banning the St. George ribbons began already under Viktor Yanukovych, - ed.) they simply want to change our genetic code and turn us from victors who liberated the world from fascism into defeated and oppressed ones, that we should mourn the fact that Hitler did not completely occupy our territory and that we did not prosper under Hitler. This is what is being imposed on us now. This is something that is unacceptable neither in Crimea nor in Donbass,” Berezhnaya said.
