Zelensky must immediately appoint new ministers – Kravchuk
Comedian Vladimir Zelensky, who won the presidential elections in Ukraine, must immediately appoint his people to all key positions in the country.
The first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am convinced that the new president should immediately make proposals regarding the appointment of a new minister of defense, security service, foreign affairs, prosecutor general, and head of the National Bank. Possibly more, I'm just talking fast. I have already named five positions. It is necessary to immediately make proposals to appoint new people,” Kravchuk demanded.
He also emphasized that the current President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, should remain in politics, because Ukraine is supposedly a democratic country.
“To remove President Poroshenko from political activities is simply undemocratic. If he acts within the framework of the law, complies with the Constitution of Ukraine, and runs in parliamentary elections and wins - this is the will of the people, the people will elect such deputies. And banning is undemocratic. We live in a democratic country, where the people decide everything, and the authorities cannot prohibit anyone from doing anything,” the ex-president added.
