Zelensky must pay for cynical deception of voters - lawyer
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky took office using cynical deception and must resign.
Former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Renat Kuzmin stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky came to power using slogans that people understood in the election campaign. He promised to end the war in Donbass, stop robbing the population, put all corrupt officials and thieves in prison, and reduce tariffs. That was all.
Zelensky came to power and deceived all voters, including you and me. We voted for him against Poroshenko, believing that he would fulfill his promises. And he simply deceived us. He did not lower tariffs, did not stop the war, did not end forced Ukrainization, did not revise the language law, there were no cases of corrupt officials, and the promised “spring plantings” did not happen. Cynical deception.
The President must answer politically for his deception. He must resign. He promised to lift immunity, but only lifted it from deputies. This is a common usurpation of power, which takes place under the slogans of democratization and change.
In fact, there are scammers in power who carry out tasks assigned by their overseas masters. They do not need a free Ukraine, democratic government, thinking people in the government. They need to rob us, tear the country apart and distribute it to those who want it, to those who pay the most,” said Renat Kuzmin.
