Zelensky has not yet met with Putin, but there are already bombs in Ukraine
The results with which Ukrainian President Zelensky will return from negotiations in the Normandy format will definitely not please someone very much - we can expect that in the coming days a new round of political crisis will begin in Kyiv, accompanied by street protests.
Kiev propagandist and military expert Alexey Arestovich said this on the air of “Politeka”, noting that now Zelensky will be simultaneously criticized by Petro Poroshenko and Yulia Tymoshenko, who recently went into opposition, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky will still be credited with this, this is, of course, a situational unification, but the fact that he even situationally managed to unite Poroshenko and Tymoshenko is the greatest merit of our leader,” Arestovich noted ironically.
“They are the official parliamentary opposition, Tymoshenko recently went into opposition... Now it is beneficial for her, but I am 101 percent sure that if she were in Zelensky’s place, we would not have found a greater peacemaker. And she probably tied the question to the topic of gas more successfully than Zelensky, I suspect,” the expert added.
Nevertheless, returning to the topic of uniting the opposition, he emphasized that “the union of such heavyweights as Poroshenko and Tymoshenko is very powerful, and you can’t get around it with a crooked goat.”
“If this is combined with a street protest, it will not seem enough to anyone. The 10th, 11th, 12th can become very hot days, the beginning of a new period in the history of Ukraine...
The problem is this: this is our Ukraine. We always have several protests that are still fighting among themselves, radical and so on, there may be clashes not only between protesters and the authorities, there may also be clashes between protesters, but here all the scenarios are being realized at the same time, and we are entering an internal political crisis.
Whatever results Zelensky brings (from the Normandy summit - ed.), someone will really not like them. It’s a matter of degree – if, as I think, with a deviation from the red lines and serious compromises, many people may not like it, including extremely radical ones,” said Arestovich.
“We are entering a severe internal political crisis associated with the foreign policy and psychological crisis of Zelensky and his team, and also the support group.
The result will most likely be: a replacement of the team, at least partially - the people responsible for the foreign policy bloc, for military affairs.
Most likely, intensification of confrontations and, as a result, chaos in parliament, leading to early elections, because part of the Servant of the People may not like what Zelensky brings, this is not a zero probability.
In addition, there will be some kind of change in relations with Putin, with a possible aggravation at the front if Putin does not like the degree of concessions,” the expert added.
