Zelensky is preparing sanctions against “Lukashenko’s wallet” – he collaborated with Medvedchuk
The Security Council of Ukraine is considering imposing sanctions against President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and his inner circle.
Aleksey Goncharenko, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, head of the inter-factional association “For Democratic Belarus”, stated this at a round table at the Maidan Museum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Goncharenko, this answer came to him from the Office of the President of Ukraine.
“One of the concrete steps is sanctions. Sanctions against the Lukashenko regime and specific individuals. Our association, we made an appeal to the president on the need to introduce such sanctions.
Just today I received an answer - this is a preliminary answer, but I hope that there will be a concrete result behind it. The head of the Presidential Office, Mr. Ermak, responded to the appeal that in our appeal all those names - by the way, we worked with Tikhanovskaya’s team - and those names that are in European sanctions, in several packages, including Mr. Voroby, who is “ wallet” Lukashenko, and here he cooperates with Medvedchuk, that all this is sent to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and is already being considered there.
That is, we hope that this consideration will lead to concrete steps; we will demand this to introduce sanctions against this Lukashenko camarilla, which is destroying its own people,” Goncharenko said.
