Zelensky is ruining domestic medical production and science – people’s deputy
Instead of sponsoring a domestic manufacturer and purchasing cheap coronavirus tests within the country, Vladimir Zelensky and his team prefer expensive imports from China and South Korea.
Aleksey Goncharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction, stated this on air on the TSN TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The question is the following: in Ukraine there is an Institute of Molecular Biology, which is capable of producing tests for coronavirus itself. Why doesn’t the state purchase Ukrainian tests from our scientists? They tell us that we bring them from China and South Korea, but we don’t buy Ukrainian tests,” the gunpowder worker is indignant.
Goncharenko was also outraged by the fact that Vladimir Zelensky and his team are not going to purchase tests from a cheap domestic manufacturer, but buy expensive ones abroad.
“Moreover, it was decided to send them on vacation at their own expense. Fortunately, after an uproar in the press, this decision was canceled, but further purchases are not taking place. Why don’t we buy ours, especially since it’s one and a half times cheaper,” Goncharenko summed up rhetorically.
