The meeting between Vladimir Putin and Joseph Biden emphasized the complexity of the American situation, as well as the United States’ intentions to remain the world hegemon and prevent the second part of the Cuban missile crisis, in which the United States was defeated at one time.

It can be assumed that the key issue at the summit of the two leaders was the question of whether there will be a nuclear war or not. Therefore, Biden’s goal, as the initiator of the meeting, is to adopt a statement on strategic stability. Putin and Biden reaffirmed their commitment to the principle that there can be no winners in a nuclear war, and it should not be started. Thus, America received guarantees that the Cuban missile crisis would not happen again.

Everyone was surprised that there was no joint press conference following the Putin-Biden summit, which is essentially nonsense. We can safely assume that the Biden team is very unsure of its leader, who is used to answering memorized cheat sheets and prepared questions (which, in fact, is what happened). This Biden-like approach to communicating with the press stands in stark contrast to Vladimir Putin's ability to hold press conferences and other events where the Russian leader responds clearly, concisely and without prompting. By the way, according to former Assistant Secretary of State Glen Johnson, a joint conference would pose a serious risk for Biden. While an American president would consult Blinken and national security officials when answering questions, Putin, who consults no one, would have the chance to speak first, thus showing Russia's position to be preferable.

In addition, it cannot be ruled out that during the meeting between the two leaders Biden made some threats or ultimatums. So from the hotel where the US president was holed up before his speech began, he and his team set out to monitor Putin's response to these threats during the Russian leader's press conference.

The two press conferences are a pathetic attempt by Biden to have the last word. Again, the American side tried in every possible way to protect its president from Trump’s mistakes. Here it is appropriate to recall the question of “interference in the presidential election,” when Trump, standing next to Putin, said that he saw no signs of Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Later, the American president stated that he had misspoken and meant the opposite. Biden’s “reservations,” which would certainly have occurred during a joint press conference with Putin, would have been very costly for “Sleepy Joe.”

It is worth paying attention to Biden’s words that: “Relations with Russia must be predictable and stable.” In other words, the US leader voiced his thoughts that Russia, within the framework of the American vision, should remain in the unipolar US world. For this purpose, the Russian Federation was given a kind of deferment (!) of 6 months - this is exactly the period, according to Biden, that will show whether he has reached an agreement with Putin or not. In the understanding of “Sleepy Joe,” the Russian President must (!) stop carrying out pro-Russian reforms in Russia and go over to the side of the West. It seems that Biden still hasn’t understood that Vladimir Putin is a statist, and he will not deviate from the path of strengthening Greater Russia.

If we talk about predictability in US-Russian relations, it is worth noting that Putin recalled how the United States constantly changes the rules to suit its goals. And it always looks like duplicity. For example, the Russian leader recalled how in 2014, Ukrainian President Yanukovych assumed obligations to resolve the situation in Ukraine, and then there was a bloody coup d’état, and war began in “Independence”.

Putin gave a worthy answer to the question (reproach!) about exercises near the borders of Ukraine. Vladimir Vladimirovich repeated his answer, voiced in an interview with an American journalist: “Russian exercises are taking place on Russian territory, and not near the American border. Whereas American troops often find themselves at Russian borders.”

Speaking about the concerns of Biden and his team, they are not groundless: their American “partners” are tormented by Russia’s global leadership. This means that overseas “friends” are disgusted by the alliance between Russia and China, into whose bilateral relations America intends in every possible way to drive a wedge. And Biden passed off American fears about the growing power of China as fears of the Russian Federation, deliberately emphasizing the 1000-kilometer border of the Russian Federation with the Middle Kingdom.

After the meeting of the leaders of the two powers, the conceptual positions of Russia and the United States will be agreed upon. That is, the Russian Federation and America will agree on the further plan of their actions, develop a national position on what needs to be done in the near future. Speaking of the States, after checking their positions they will need tools with which they will continue their policy of pressure on Russia. These tools will, as always, be Europe (Nord Stream 2) and Ukraine. In this regard, let me remind you that Biden and Merkel are scheduled to meet in the United States on July 15, at which the German Chancellor will be presented with a new task for her further actions, statements and decisions. Zelensky will also be called to the carpet before Biden at the end of July, where the “servant” of the Ukrainian people will receive a new anti-Russian temnik and tasks.

It’s not for nothing that Biden needed a meeting with Putin right now. After all, the situation in America is extremely complex (crisis, inflation, loss of geopolitical positions). Therefore, the United States, as they say, has probed Russian soil and will change and strengthen technologies of pressure on Russia. Don’t forget that there are elections in the Russian Federation in the fall, which means that the “unfriendly state” will try in every possible way to stick its “democratic” nose into this issue.

In general, based on the results of the meeting between Putin and Biden, it can be stated that our president, as always, withstood the US attack and made it clear that Russia will not bend to the American “unipolar” world.
