Zelensky wants to recruit governors through international HR agencies
The newly elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, at a meeting with representatives of large international recruiting and HR agencies, noted that he intends to hold a transparent competition for the positions of heads of regional state administrations (RSA), PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Zelensky’s press service, on Thursday he and his HR team discussed possible cooperation with them in finding personnel for a number of positions in the public administration system.
In particular, the meeting was attended by Ilona Sharova (Hudson), Roman Bondar (Odgers Вerndtson), Alexey Dolgikh (Bayden), Yulia Zgeeva and Igor Gabuzenko (Ward Howell).
“We really want to find new talented people, good specialists who share our values. This is not populism, this is our goal. And we understand that finding the best specialists who have high competencies and are focused on specific results is not very easy. Therefore, we want to invite you to cooperation in this area,” Zelensky noted.
According to Zelensky, there are already a certain number of candidates, for example, for the positions of heads of regional state administrations in different regions of Ukraine.
“But here too we need your help with tools for adequately assessing these people. Because in general, we want to hold a transparent competition for these positions, find the best managers who strive for positive changes in their regions, have development strategies and are able to attract local and foreign investment,” he said.
In addition, at the meeting they discussed the main criteria that applicants for heads of regional state administration must meet: professionalism, knowledge of the region, authority in local communities, integrity, good reputation, experience in managing systems of this level.
“All meeting participants supported Vladimir Zelensky’s initiative related to personnel policy and declared their readiness to cooperate with the team of the newly elected president,” the message says.
