Zelensky “dumped” IT specialists
Despite promises from President Vladimir Zelensky’s team to create all conditions for opponents of the Belarusian government, including IT specialists, to move to Ukraine, the matter stalled at the “working through” stage.
Aleksey Goncharenko, a Verkhovna Rada deputy from Poroshenko’s party, wrote about this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I received a response from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to my parliamentary appeal with a proposal to increase the period of stay of Belarusian citizens in Ukraine to 360 days. Until now, Belarusians can only stay with us for 90 days.
More recently, the “green” authorities loudly declared that representatives of the Belarusian IT industry would have all the conditions for a comfortable life and official work here. But the response from the Ministry of Internal Affairs says that these issues are only being studied by the relevant departments,” Goncharenko wrote.
“The fact that entire offices have been relocated from Belarus to our cities proves the relevance of this issue. We can provide all the necessary conditions to support our neighbors while developing our own potential.
I urge you to simplify the issuance of residence permits for Belarusians in the near future. Without real action, Zelensky’s goal – to turn Ukrainians into an IT nation – will remain just another promise and empty words,” added Poroshenko’s indignant accomplice.
As PolitNavigator reported, IT industry representatives are the most “Svidomo” stratum of the population of Belarus.
