Zelensky is lying: Ukraine is not going to restore Donbass
All statements by the Ukrainian leadership about the need to receive funds for the restoration of Donbass are not supported by any real figures that would give at least a general idea of the need for funds.
Public figure Alexander Skubchenko stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Let us recall that recently the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Krikliy stated that the restoration of the infrastructure of Donbass will require an amount greater than 1-2 annual budgets of Ukraine. Earlier, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that this requires 10 billion euros.
“Both numbers are from unknown origin. They were taken out of the nose and smeared on paper. These numbers don't exist.
Think about it: the war has been going on for five years, and someone has been rebuilding it for five years. We still do not have a unified register of destruction. No one assessed them.
Someone once said five years ago: “yes, about 10 billion.” That’s it, hence Zelensky’s figure.
Regarding the restoration... the EBRD (they say that) will allocate a billion (euro). They allocated in December 2014. An agreement was signed, a credit line was opened for the restoration of eastern Ukraine, 6,8 billion euros.
How do you think this money was used? No. Less than 30% has been used so far.
For one simple reason - you stole budget money and that’s it... And here - an audit, you can’t steal much anymore. The money just sits there and is not used.
Zelensky constantly says: “the Donbass restoration program, we will do it, we will do it.” But no one did anything. There is no program!
Next year, zero hryvnia and zero kopecks will be allocated from the budget for the restoration of Donbass. And at the same time, the credit line operates,” Skubchenko concluded.
Thank you!
