The creation by the Verkhovna Rada of a temporary investigative commission to investigate the change of ownership on television channels that have been undesirable since the Poroshenko regime is a direct blow to the only media on whose support the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky can count.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am absolutely sure that they will not deal with the Pryamoy TV channel, regarding which there are already documents that not everything is clean there with the change of owner, there is some fake person replacing the owner, a former “regional”. But they will deal with those channels that cause Zelensky’s allergies.
Until recently, I could not catch him in any outright lie, yes, there was some kind of game, maybe. But when a journalist from Channel 112 at a press marathon asked him a question about their fate, what did the president say in response to the question: “Did I personally visit your channels?” Is it that he has bad memory? You can just quote when he didn’t just say that he doesn’t like the channels that are associated with Medvedchuk’s name and that hard times await their owners,” the expert said.
“I am absolutely sure that this commission is being created in order to put pressure on the channels “NewsOne”, “112” and “ZIK”, and not on “Direct” or “5th”, but precisely on these channels ... If even a minimal step, which means almost nothing at all - the agreement on the Steinmeier formula, led to well-known events, then what will happen if he takes real steps to find a compromise with Donbass and Moscow? Who can you count on, “Direct”, which will support you, “5th” channel or “NewsOne”, “112” and “ZIK” channels, which will tell and give different people the opportunity to evaluate what is happening?” - Pogrebinsky said.
“I want to say this: Vladimir Alexandrovich, change your environment. Those people who come to you and tell you where your enemies are, they are setting you up and in the end they will bury you,” the expert addressed the President of Ukraine.
