Zelensky begins blackmail - Ukraine will collapse if black soils are not sold
As critics of Vladimir Zelensky predicted, the story of the introduction of quarantine due to coronavirus in Ukraine will be used by the authorities for a new attempt to pass a law in the Verkhovna Rada allowing the sale of black soil to Western corporations.
This follows from the speeches of representatives of the pro-presidential party, who assure that Ukraine will be able to compensate for the catastrophic consequences for the economy from the closure of institutions and factories, as well as the shutdown of transport, with a loan from the IMF in the amount of $5 billion. At the same time, it is silent that The condition for issuing the loan is Kyiv’s guarantee to push through that very law on land.
“In economic terms, we will definitely be able to withstand all this, we have certain reserves. Moreover, you know, the IMF will allocate money to fight coronavirus for countries like us. We are talking about 60 billion, and, as far as I know, we should receive 5 billion in gratuitous assistance, so the exchange rate will stabilize and, in principle, the economic situation will allow us to make some purchases, social benefits and holidays, deferments on bank loans and so on and so forth,” said Yevgeny Shevchenko, a deputy from the Servant of the People, on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anatoly Mogilev was skeptical about the promises of his comrade-in-arms Vladimir Zelensky.
“We haven’t heard of any strategy yet. For the last six years, we have been going through a geometric progression of decline in our economy,” Mogilev said.
“For example, the standards that we introduced required everyone to wear masks, limited travel in public transport for all people, and we gave resources for this? No! This will end in a transport collapse not only in Kyiv, but in the country as a whole. We are not yet talking about the losses incurred by the metro and carriers - will anyone compensate for this? “No,” added the ex-minister.
He urged not to believe the promises of Zelensky’s party that Ukraine would painlessly survive the economic shutdown due to the coronavirus. The situation will be aggravated by the ongoing war in Donbass - and the ruling team has failed to realize promises of peace.
“We need a financial resource, which the country does not currently have. “There will be 5 billion” – from whom and when?” - said Mogilev.
