Zelensky hopes to beat Putin
Reports about the successful withdrawal of Ukrainian armed formations from the front line in the Zolote region in Donbass are not true, since Azov militants remain in the village with the approval of official Kyiv. Vladimir Zelensky is imitating the implementation of an important point of the Minsk agreements, thus hoping to obtain the Kremlin’s consent to hold a meeting in the Normandy format.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the TV channel “Russia 1”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I believe that today people remain there, although Avakov claims that they are unarmed and have the right to remain there as citizens of Ukraine. I believe that these are very big risks for the final stage of the disengagement of forces and assets in Zolote.
When the Minister of Internal Affairs says that they do not have weapons, we must not forget that they are in the Joint Forces Operation zone, where there are more than enough weapons. They don’t even need to travel with their weapons; they can find them on the spot and provoke any conflict situation.
People who do not live on the territory of Zolote have nothing to do there. They cannot determine Ukraine's foreign policy. People there cannot make decisions about holding the Normandy format,” the ex-deputy noted.
