Zelensky puffed out his cheeks with Netanyahu to fool voters
The meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not bring any breakthrough decisions announced to the public, but Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky needed it to fill the media field in the absence of positive news events.
Candidate of Political Sciences Kirill Molchanov stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky needs at least some meetings with foreign leaders. August has nothing to fill with information - the old one (parliament) is no longer working, the new one (government) is not working yet. It is necessary to produce some kind of information noise. Therefore, he was glad to see any meeting, and if he was also a fairly influential player, then that was even better.
What were we talking about? If we take the Ukrainian-Israeli agenda, then this is a free trade zone, an agreement on which was signed back in January, but never ratified by Israel.
There is a feeling that this visit in this regard is very reminiscent of Zelensky’s visit to Canada. It was very pompous, large-scale, but ineffective. There, too, the issue of a free trade zone with Canada was raised, which does not even work,” the expert recalled.
