Zelensky brazenly deceived Lviv miners
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky did not fulfill his promise to increase wages for Lviv miners this summer.
TV viewer Ruslana from Chervonograd, Lviv region, who called the studio, spoke about this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our President Zelensky came to us when the accident happened at the mine, he promised that the mines would be reconstructed, that the miners’ wages would be raised, but, excuse me, the miner has such a meager salary that even the seller in the store has more, and the miner works in very difficult conditions. When will it end? When will they be paid decent money? – asked a resident of the Lviv region.
Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky commented on the issue.
“This happens every time, it was Zelensky’s visit after the accident, I remember very well when at one of the mines in Volyn there was a methane explosion in the mine, Groysman arrived, made big eyes and said: “How? Security is underfunded by 80 percent? I’ll sort it out”... At the same time, miners were banned from subsidies from the budget, because no one cares, because they steal a lot. Hence, security was underfunded.
On the issue of wages, I’m afraid that, let alone never, we are moving quietly towards the closure of the coal industry, at least in the state,” the expert stated.
