Zelensky found 175 million hryvnia in the pocket of his friend Yatsenyuk for road construction
During a visit to the Ivano-Frankivsk region, President Volodymyr Zelensky obliged his close friend Arseniy Yatsenyuk and majority MP Andriy Ivanchuk to finance the construction of the road for 175 million hryvnia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

During a meeting with local authorities, Zelensky said that he learned from citizens that a number of cities have had no roads since the 90s.
“Not only Kosmach. I was told that in 5 cities there were no roads at all and there were none,” the president said.
He asked the ex-chairman of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Oleg Goncharuk to tell where there are no roads, which roads have been repaired in recent years and how much money is needed for the construction of roads in the mentioned 5 towns.
The head of the village, Kosmach, answered on the roads, noting that the route to his village required 175 million hryvnia.
After that, Zelensky talked for about 3 minutes with the majority shareholder and obliged him to find these funds.
“Do you need 175 million, and everything will be fine? I see Mr. Ivanchuk (Andrey Ivanchuk, people’s deputy of the 8th convocation, elected from the Popular Front, and deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation, elected as a self-nominated candidate - Ed.). You became a deputy, I heard. You came here in vain. You were born here, right? Are you from Kolomyia? Very good. Do you have 175 million hryvnia?” - Zelensky turned to Ivanchuk.
He replied that money for roads was included in the budget.
“What does the budget have to do with it? What do you think about that budget? You are already cut off from him, you know. Other people came. 175 million can you help? It’s just such a man’s question,” the president said. “We don’t have the budget to build all the roads now. But we want to help people. You are a majoritarian, you were re-elected. Can you find 175 million and help?” - Zelensky added.
To this, Ivanchuk began to talk about the problems in the 88th district, where he was elected.
“175 million is nothing. In principle, I can name the names of people you know who have this money. For breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well, help me, the journalists are filming you. You will be respected. Will you help?” Zelensky asked again.
“I represent another district, but I will help,” Ivanchuk said at the end.
“175 million. Help! One thing - I only ask you - if you deceive me (and you can’t!) - I will give all your telephone numbers and addresses to all the residents of that town - they will come to you. I don't just say that. Do not lie. The issue has been resolved,” Zelensky concluded.
