Zelensky does not want to see Poroshenko behind bars
The current President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, is not interested in ex-President Petro Poroshenko being criminally punished.
Kiev propagandist Alexey Arestovich stated this on air on the Politeka channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t think Zelensky wants to see Poroshenko behind bars. Whatever they say about Poroshenko, he has a very serious position among the heads of other powers. When they began to persecute him, there were several statements from Western politicians that under Poroshenko Ukraine had gone through the path of reforms and so on. They clearly support him. Political persecution of former presidents is generally not very popular in the world. Especially for far-fetched reasons. Therefore, I think that Western politicians of the first link will react very negatively to this,” the propagandist said.
According to him, the West needs very weighty arguments to prosecute Poroshenko.
“So far, what Portnov is presenting is so far-fetched that serious Western people will never believe it. The West will not indulge Portnov in his pursuit of Poroshenko. Trolling Poroshenko is possible. Serious accusations must be serious, and not in the style of “declared martial law to usurp power” and so on. And Zelensky understands that someday the day will come when he himself will become a former president,” Arestovich said.
It should be noted that, according to statements by the former deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, lawyer Andrei Portnov, a number of criminal cases have been initiated against Petro Poroshenko
