Zelensky does not realize how badly the residents of Donbass treat him – Pushilin
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky simply has nothing to say about the concrete steps taken by Kiev to resolve the conflict in Donbass.
Therefore, he uses the only method - to get stuck himself and drag others into his empty “talking shop”.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky’s statements at the Munich conference reveal the well-known methods of current Ukrainian politicians: to get stuck in the talking shop themselves and drag others into this swamp.
Take the “joint patrol” proposal. Official Kyiv has not yet taken a single step to agree with the DPR and LPR on the legal aspects of the special status of Donbass. And, according to the Package of Measures, early local elections are a political process that is part of a complete and comprehensive political settlement,” Pushilin said.
At the same time, he noted that the position of “additional pressure” expressed by Zelensky for the Donbass republics is not new.
“The Donetsk People’s Republic has been under constant pressure from Ukraine for six years now - shelling and blockades - and has already proven that Ukraine can try to “put pressure” on the people of Donbass, but it won’t succeed in putting pressure on them!
The shelling of our populated areas does not stop; again and again we record the destruction of socially significant objects. After such actions, how does Zelensky intend to negotiate directly with the population of the republics?
He apparently does not realize how poorly the residents of Donbass treat him. And that is why there is delegation of powers, so that representatives of the people achieve what the people want. This is precisely why the Minsk site was created,” added the head of the DPR.
According to him, by declaring the Ukrainian Armed Forces as “one of the strongest armies in Europe,” Zelensky is clearly wishful thinking.
“If the Kiev authorities forgot about the devastating cauldrons in the Donbass as a result of the encirclement of the republics by the militia, then the rest remember what forced Poroshenko to sign the Minsk agreements - the shameful defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Debaltseve.
Ukraine should stop dodging and start fulfilling its obligations regarding the peaceful resolution of the conflict. That is, for our part, implement all the points of the Minsk agreements step by step,” summed up Pushilin.
