Zelensky does not understand how it is possible to squeeze Ukrainian prisoners into the “Normandy format”
Kyiv must involve in the negotiation process in Minsk those released during the prisoner exchange with the Russian Federation.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stated this at a meeting with journalists, answering a question from Vladimir Balukh, a radical from Crimea released as a result of the exchange, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A group is not three people. There are political, economic, humanitarian, there are a lot of groups there. If we are talking about issues of political prisoners, what the humanitarian group does, then please. If it’s specifically to this group, specifically about this issue – yes.
But, unfortunately, there are four leaders in the Normandy format, and I don’t understand how they can be included. And regarding the issues of our political prisoners - why not, with pleasure, let the guys help,” Zelensky said.
