Zelensky will not allow the seizure of churches and will review the language law - Karasev
The new President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, does not yet have political independence.
This opinion was expressed in a comment to Moskovsky Komsomolets by the director of the Kyiv Institute of Global Strategies, Vadim Karasev, according to whom, so far Zelensky is allegedly fully implementing the plan outlined for himself.
“He dissolved parliament, appointed his people to key positions that would allow him to start getting into the swing of things and so on. So far he has electoral independence, since his activities are supported by the majority of Ukrainians, but there is no political independence, since many positions are still occupied by representatives of Poroshenko’s team, but this is temporary. As for Kolomoisky, he is not a puppet master, as Poroshenko says, but Zelensky’s partner. Yes, he achieved the appointment of Bogdan, but this was beneficial for the president, since there were no such qualified people around him,” the political scientist said.
At the same time, he does not think that under Zelensky much of what was done under Poroshenko will be reviewed.
“However, the president will definitely ensure that the OCU does not seize the parishes of the UOC-MP. In addition, the language law will be revised,” Karasev believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, Zelensky in Russian for the first time called Russia an “aggressor.”
