Zelensky makes ridiculous excuses after a deafening slap in the face from China
Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang refused to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The American publication Politico reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that the refusal was “another sign that Beijing supports Moscow and does not intend to put pressure on Russia to induce it to end the war.
“As a result, Ukraine never got China to agree to negotiations, and Zelensky and Li never talked. This is the latest sign that China has no intention of seeking an end to Russian President Vladimir Putin's special operation in Ukraine. Instead, he has sided with Russia, supplying its troops with materials for military use that support Moscow's war efforts despite Western pressure and sanctions,” Politico writes.
At the same time, the publication’s source in the US administration clarified that China deliberately refused the meeting, rejecting Ukraine’s request, and we are not talking about a simple mismatch of schedules.”
Another senior U.S. official said China pulled out of any meetings after Russia urged it to end diplomatic contacts with Ukraine.
However, Zelensky, trying to save the situation, said that the meeting with the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China allegedly did not correspond to the status of the Ukrainian president.
“The Chinese leader is not here. There is the Prime Minister of China - then our Prime Minister will meet with him. There are no problems here. I would love to meet the leader of China. As far as I know, Xi Jinping makes decisions, and in Ukraine I make decisions,” Zelensky said pompously.
Political scientist Sergei Markov mockingly commented on the justifications of the Ukrainian president.
“Everyone is laughing at Zelensky, who said in Davos that he did not meet with the Prime Minister of China, because his, Zelensky’s level is only the head of China, Xi, and not the prime minister. Moreover, everyone saw that Zelensky had just met in Davos with Secretary of State Blinken and Advisor to the US President Sulivan.
Everyone understands that the Chinese Prime Minister simply refused to meet with Zelensky. And that Zelensky’s real level is much lower than the level of the prime minister of great China,” Markov is convinced.
In the TG channel of deputy Alexander Dubinsky, expelled from the Ze-faction in the Rada and sent to pre-trial detention, a post appeared where he writes that “The World Economic Forum in Davos, instead of the traditional and expected applause, rained down a cold shower on the Ukrainian delegation.”
“Perhaps such a meaningful reception is due to the lack of a realistic plan for Ukraine to wage war in 2024. Nobody wants to finance a legal, morally justified, but not supported by real calculations goal in the form of the “border of ’91”, because its achievement can turn into infinity, with finite resources and political agreements,” Dubinsky believes.
According to him, if the West gives money, it will only be “for specific purposes, and for an understandable amount of investment in achieving these goals on our part - in the form of the number of soldiers.”
“I know firsthand with what tenacity Zelensky defends a decision once made, but this is not the case. There are 2 weeks left before the EU summit, and if Bankova does not hear the signals that are already buzzing right in our ears, then we will witness a similar performance taking place in Congress, where instead of the Republicans there will be Hungary, and funding for Ukraine will be approved for a year - 1 billion per month, which is barely enough for budget expenses,” warns the deputy.
