Zelensky bears personal responsibility for tariff genocide – Pogrebinsky
and the tariff policy, under which Ukrainian consumers were unable to pay for utilities, is the responsibility of President Vladimir Zelensky, his government and faction.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Responsibility for this ugly socio-economic policy lies, first of all, with President Zelensky and his government. The deputies who vote for the budget are also responsible for this; this is mainly the faction of the president, the Servants of the People.
These are those “fellow travelers” who resolved their issues by lobbying for things that were interesting to them in this document. Without rebooting this entire system, we cannot expect that people in Ukraine will be able to pay. People just can't pay. Such fantastic payments, but the situation is difficult. If pensioners pay at least partially, they will not have enough for medicine, food, etc.,” the expert said.
There is no “gas market” that the authorities talk about in the country, and gas prices are not market prices.
“It has long been discussed whether the gas market really works. In a truly functioning market, free competition among sellers must be ensured. Nothing like this is happening here. How many times has it been said that we produce so much gas that it would be enough to meet our own needs for municipal heat, etc. There is such an opportunity, do it this way, and the price will be 4 times less.
The whole idea that the market decides all this is nonsense. People decide, they solve their problems. They provide themselves with excess profits at the expense of the majority of people,” said Mikhail Pogrebinsky.
