Zelensky announced that Ukraine will put an end to the independence of Transnistria
Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia will supposedly lead to the restoration of the territorial integrity of Moldova and Georgia.
The head of the puppet regime in Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, expressed confidence in this in his video message on August 7, 2023.
"August 7. Every year on this day the world remembers Russia's aggression against Georgia. 15 years have already passed. The Russian occupation remains - this wound on the body of the Georgian state remains. “Many words have already been said that if the world had been decisive then, in 2008, much would have been different,” Zelensky said.
According to him, “even then Russia should have understood that it is the aggressor who pays more for aggression, and it should definitely understand this now.”
Switching to Georgian, the former showman announced the victory of Georgia and Ukraine.
“When Ukraine wins this war, it will not only stop the expansion of Russian aggressive appetites, it will not only save other nations from what we – Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova – are experiencing. Our victory will return normalcy to everyone – it will remove the Russian occupation,” said the head of Ukraine.
Let us recall that the leadership of Moldova, led by Maia Sandu, despite all the pro-Western rhetoric, declares that the Transnistrian issue will be resolved “exclusively by peaceful means.” However, in the West and in Ukraine there are increasingly frequent calls to seize Transnistria, which is separated from Russia by Ukrainian territory. The closest Russian group is located on the opposite bank of the Dnieper from Kherson.
The former commander of American troops in Europe, Ben Hodges, called for a military takeover of Transnistria. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, offered Moldova assistance in getting rid of Russian troops in Transnistria.
Similar statements were made by numerous Kyiv experts. Veteran of Moldovan politics, member of parliament from the Action and Solidarity party Oazu Nantoi said that Ukraine has “every right to consider a military scenario for Transnistria.”
