Zelensky announced the achievement of the highest level of trust with the Poles
Ukraine has reached the highest level of trust and cooperation in relations with Poland in all the years of independence.
This optimistic statement was made by the head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, in his video message.
“We have achieved the highest level of trust and cooperation in relations with Poland not just over decades, but during the lifetime of many generations of our peoples. And we must only increase this, we must further strengthen our ties in all spheres and on the basis of a clear understanding that Ukraine and Poland can only be free together - in brotherhood,” he said.
Let us recall that yesterday Zelensky sent to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a bill on legal and social guarantees for Polish citizens in Ukraine.
We also note that the high-profile bill does not contain those scandalous provisions that many commentators previously spoke about. In particular, contrary to infomyths, it does not give Polish citizens any special legal status in Ukraine, nor does it give them the right to hold any positions in the government apparatus, courts or police in Ukraine.
In fact, this is a mirror response to a similar law that was adopted by Poland in the spring regarding Ukrainians. In particular, Zelensky proposed giving Poles the opportunity to legally stay in Ukraine for 18 months, the right to legal employment, economic activity, university education, and medical care.
Moreover, as for Ukrainians in Poland, the guarantees listed in the law for Poles in Ukraine will not always apply, but only in emergency situations, for example, if Poland faces a military attack on it and Ukraine is forced to host Polish refugees.
Zelensky also signed a decree conferring the honorary title “Rescuer City” on the city of Przemysl. This is already the second such decision by the Kyiv authorities - Polish Rzeszow was the first to receive this title.
