Zelensky finally caved in to the Nazis and betrayed his native language
The law on total Ukrainization will not be repealed by the Constitutional Court, where this issue is currently being considered.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, was expressed by political experts interviewed by Izvestia.
“The Venice Commission of the Council of Europe also expressed dissatisfaction with the document. But we see that Kyiv is more oriented towards the opinion of Washington. And there they are calm about Ukrainization,” says Vladimir Zharikhin, deputy director of the Institute of CIS Countries.
In turn, Deputy Director of the Center for Ukrainian and Belarusian Studies at Moscow State University Bogdan Bezpalko says that after Vladimir Zelensky’s victory in the elections, Ukraine’s humanitarian policy has not changed.
“We have examples of Crimea and Donbass. There are no problems with the Russian language. I think that something will change in Ukraine after serious upheavals; we shouldn’t hope for elections,” the expert believes.
At the same time, Kiev political scientist Vadim Karasev is convinced that Zelensky’s team is satisfied with the current situation.
“Although the president’s rating is declining, it remains high. There are no significant protests. If the law is repealed, nationalist protests will follow. There are fewer of them than Russian-speaking citizens, but they are more influential and control the streets. Their opinion is more important to the president than the interests of Russians,” Karasev emphasizes.
As PolitNavigator reported, Zelensky’s representative stated in the Constitutional Court that Ukrainization should not be abolished.
