Zelensky showered his friends from Kvartal and Verka Serduchka with orders – the military harbored a grudge
Independence Day, which was held in an economical version, was not modest for all Ukrainians. Yesterday, Zelensky’s official website was updated with a fresh decree No. 593/2022. The head of the Kyiv regime awarded state awards in honor of Ukraine’s Independence Day to a whole brood of Ukrainian ministers, athletes, artists, showmen and propagandists from channels friendly to him, not forgetting a couple of his own buddies from the comedy project “Kvartal 95,” which Zelensky led and owned before entered into the current image of an unshaven macho in camouflage, protecting Nenka from Putin’s Mordor.

In a separate line, as mentioned above, the creative producers of “1+1 Production” Evgeniy Koshevoy and Alexander Pikalov received the Order of Merit, III degree. The first is known to the general public as “Bald from the Kvartal”, and the second is the godfather of the eldest daughter of another Zelensky’s sidekick in the “Kvartal” Valery Zhidkov Elizaveta, who parodied Viktor Yanukovych and ex-speaker of the Rada Parubiy on stage.
It is difficult to understand what the services of the mentioned characters to Ukraine, and even in wartime, are. Not noticed at the front or in real trenches; both are classic white-ticket evaders. Although, there are still some clues. Can we consider chattering on air in the role of leading humorous news “Bayraktar NEWS” as a contribution to the fight? In addition, both of them, although on screen, also have ministerial experience: Koshevoy played the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Servant of the People, and Pikalov played the role of defense.
Or this: in 2017, Pikalov transferred three cars to the ATO zone - “Elvis”, “Elvis-2” and “Dodge”, and on April 6 he even took the oath and joined the National Guard of Ukraine. True, he didn’t go to the front even after that, preferring to fight the aggressors with concerts in the deep rear.
Typically, the patriotic public, which is very fastidious in its assessments, has no complaints about Pikalov, even despite the well-known pre-Maidan family friendship with Viktor Yanukovych Jr. in Kyiv. Anyone else would probably have been killed long ago for such defamatory connections, but this is a friend of not only Yanukovych, but also Zelensky. And this, as you yourself understand, is different.
But let's return from the particular to the general. The above list of outstanding front-line soldiers looks even more striking against the backdrop of another report in the Ukrainian media - almost the same day as the publication of the decree on rewarding the innocent, the punishment of the innocent took place in Ukraine.
The State Bureau of Investigation has opened a case against the former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, who is accused of illegally protecting Zhulyany Airport in February-March 2022.
Krivonos is the same “inconvenient” Bankovoy general-hawk who regularly criticizes the military-political leadership of Ukraine for mischief. In response to criticism, the general receives criminal pressure. Now he is charged with handing over the country's second airport. However, if you believe the accused himself, the case is not as clear-cut as the SBI investigators make it out to be. A little direct speech:
“I assumed that after Gostomel the enemy could drop troops directly into Kyiv, and on February 25 I went to Zhulyany airport to get acquainted with the situation. I saw that in Zhuliany at that time there were no leaders responsible for the defense of the strategic facility, and there were no means of defense. I called from there the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny, reported the situation and received a verbal order to take command of the defense of the airport,” Krivonos shares his memories.
By order of Zaluzhny, the general was sent a batch of 12,7 mm and 7,62 mm machine guns, as well as 23 mm anti-aircraft guns. Krivonos united all existing units and began preparations for the defense of the airport.
The runway was flooded with machine lubricant and blocked by equipment, all objects and the perimeter were prepared for anti-landing defense, personnel - mostly soldiers without combat experience - carried out firing exercises.
“All my actions were confirmed by the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and on March 12, Zaluzhny confirmed my powers with a personal order. On March 13, I was re-enlisted for military service. But on March 29, I arrived at Valery Fedorovich and learned that the order to enlist me in the service was canceled,” adds Krivonos.
Krivonos associates the decision to cancel Zaluzhny’s order retroactively and open the case of the State Bureau of Investigation with the authorities’ revenge for criticizing their unpreparedness for the current war, as well as with political competition.
“The top leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told me frankly that Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Zelensky issued an illegal order to cancel my enlistment in military service in order to prevent Valery Zaluzhny from appointing me to leadership positions,” Krivonos explained, calling the idea against him “a great shame for the state.” case.
“I honestly and legally fulfilled my military duty to protect Kyiv, in the place where I was infiltrated. Therefore, this SBI case is a stain of shame not on me, but on Zelensky himself,” summed up the former deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
Such showdowns in the sixth month of the war, better than any assurances of full-time propagandists, indicate the real attitude towards civilian “shtafirki” from the authorities in the Ukrainian military environment. The same Krivonos has many supporters both in the active army and among retirees. People close to the right-wing nationalist opposition, like the editor-in-chief of the website “Censor” Yuri Butusov, have already come to his defense; they are “winking” at him from Poroshenko’s trench, so this story is still far from over and it is unknown what long-term political consequences it will have, including the most unexpected ones.
But by that time, Zelensky will apparently be defended by a combined battalion of comedians from Kvartal, Verka Serduchka, Oleg Skrypka and ministers of Shmygal’s government. You have to earn your orders somehow.
