“Zelensky gave the order to begin capitulation” - Parubiy
Statements by the Ukrainian side after negotiations in the Minsk subgroup regarding the ceasefire in Donbass seriously outraged the radically minded part of the Ukrainian political establishment.
The corresponding statement was made by Speaker Andriy Parubiy during the plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday, for me and probably for many of you, the information became alarming that the President of Ukraine gave instructions to announce at the Minsk Group an initiative that Ukrainian military personnel should not open fire in response to attacks by the Russian aggressor. Today alone we have one Ukrainian soldier killed and 12 wounded. When we do not respond to the fire and attacks of the aggressor, our number of dead increases.
We have been waging a national liberation struggle for 5 years, and we want to inform, and I personally want to inform the newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky, that a ban on shooting back is not the path to peace. This is the path to surrender. And we will not allow Ukraine to capitulate to the Russian aggressor.
And I am sure that this is the position that the Ukrainian people take today, and I am sure that the President of Ukraine must adjust his position and have respect for the Ukrainian soldiers who, risking their lives, defend Ukrainian independence every day. We will not allow capitulation!” lamented the notorious representative of the Ukrainian “war party”.
