Zelensky refused to return Ukrainian citizenship to Korban
The head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, responded to a petition calling for the disgraced ex-chief of the Dnepropetrovsk regional defense headquarters, Gennady Korban, to return Ukrainian citizenship, which was taken from him several months ago.
The response was published on the website of Zelensky’s Office under a petition with 25 thousand 421 signatures, the author of which called for the review and cancellation of the decree regarding the termination of Korban’s Ukrainian citizenship.
Zelensky wrote that the grounds for loss of citizenship ex lege or at the initiative of a participating state are determined by the European Convention on Nationality, ratified by the Law of September 20, 2006.
“The grounds and procedure for acquiring and terminating Ukrainian citizenship defined by the Law are common to all individuals. At the same time, public authorities and their officials are obliged to act only on the basis, within the powers and in the manner provided for by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine (part two of Article 19 of the Constitution of Ukraine). The author of the electronic petition will be informed about the results of consideration of the issues raised,” Zelensky’s response says.
In fact, with this response, Bankovaya refused to reconsider the deprivation of Korban’s citizenship.
Let us remember that Korban appealed to Zelensky about the seizure of his passport upon entry into Ukraine.
Bankova confirmed the existence of a secret decree depriving Korban of citizenship, adding that the decree contains personal data of individuals and is therefore not made public.
