Zelensky confirmed that he shook hands with Putin: “To return Crimea and Donbass”
Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that he shook hands with Vladimir Putin at the talks in Paris. The Ukrainian president said this on air on the 1+1 TV channel.
“Yes, but how can we meet at the highest level differently, how can we start a dialogue without this? How can you agree on something?” – Zelensky said.
According to him, during the negotiations “a lot of things were decided”, and “we will see the results before the end of the year” - obviously, Zelensky meant an exchange of prisoners, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Ukrainian president also said that during his first telephone call to the Russian president in the status of head of state, he discussed with his entourage whether he should greet Putin.
“Are you going to greet him?” “How else? “Should I call and say, ‘Hey, bring back the sailors’?” – Zelensky retold.
According to him, “we really want to stop the war and we must talk.”
“If tomorrow our land, our temporarily occupied Donbass, is returned to us, then I can shake hands 10 more times. And if our Crimea is returned to us, and it will definitely be returned to us, I can shake it 100 times,” Zelensky promised.
