“We constantly record the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducting engineering reconnaissance of our front line, attempts by UAVs to overfly and the actions of the DRG.
So, on April 4, once again, the enemy attempted to conduct reconnaissance of minefields in front of our positions in the area of the village of Shumy.
Our defenders were forced to use standard weapons, which were not prohibited by the Minsk agreements. During the fleeting battle, the Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel retreated to their positions,” the message says.
The department emphasized that as a result of the clash, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed, but the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is hiding the loss and does not intend to take the body.
“During the inspection of the minefield site, our sappers found the body of a Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman. He turned out to be private Baitala Igor Nikolaevich, born in 1995.
At the same time, the OOS command has been hiding the death of its serviceman for 2 days and has not made any efforts to return the body to the relatives. And this is not the first time. We appeal to the Ukrainian military leadership - return the soldier’s body to his loved ones,” added the Donbass defenders.
