Zelensky will try: Ukraine will face a cold war and an iron curtain with Belarus
Relations between Ukraine and Belarus will degrade to the point of ideological pressure from the Kyiv regime on Ukrainians who sympathize with President Lukashenko.
Political scientist Daniil Bogatyrev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is not about bilateral relations between Ukraine and Belarus, this is only one of the elements. We are talking, in essence, about the unfolding of a new full-scale Cold War, where, on the one hand, the United States and its allies will act, and on the other hand, Russia and China and their allies, respectively.
Now we see the process of crystallization of such corresponding blocks in Eastern Europe. Belarus moved into the Russian sphere of influence. In turn, Ukraine, the Baltic countries, and Poland are firmly entrenched in the American sphere of influence. Now more and more restrictions will be established between these spheres of influence.
As a result, I do not exclude that after some time it will reach a full-fledged Iron Curtain, when ordinary citizens will not be able to engage in any cross-border activities - small and medium-sized businesses, scientific cooperation. When all this will be cut off at the root, and will accordingly be defamed as “zrada”, high treason or something like that,” Bogatyrev said.
“This is exactly the process that is taking place now. Relations between Ukraine and Belarus in this vein will, unfortunately, degrade, they will become worse and worse, there will be more and more restrictions.
I do not rule out that there will be attempts at ideological cleansing here. I don’t know, in principle, there are sympathizers of Belarus in Ukraine. In Ukraine, let me remind you, Alexander Lukashenko was named the most popular foreign politician in polls for a long time,” the political scientist warned.
