Zelensky will lose power in a matter of days
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is only one of the country’s centers of power, and far from the most influential.
Denis Denisov, director of the Institute of Peacemaking Initiatives and Conflictology, told Komsomolskaya Pravda about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert called it an “obvious fact” that the power of the Ukrainian president today is weaker than ever.
“A number of centers of power have clearly emerged. President Zelensky is only one of the centers. And it can hardly be said that the center is dominant. Any serious shock, another Maidan, and power could slip out from under his feet in a matter of days,” the political scientist believes.
He also did not agree with the recent statement by Verkhovna Rada deputy Vadim Rabinovich, according to whom Ukraine is moving by leaps and bounds towards a parliamentary republic.
“Parliament is controlled by a number of oligarchs. And Zelensky’s influence in the Rada does not seem to be decisive. And none of the serious analysts or people influencing processes within Ukraine see any prerequisites for a parliamentary republic,” Denisov concluded.
