Zelensky lost control over the army – Kilinkarov
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, after his election, had full control over the state, but did not use this to establish peace in the Donbass.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is the motivation of Zelensky, who has nothing to do with the conflict in Donbass and did not start it? Moreover, I assure you, Ukraine will no longer have the same chance that Zelensky had, who received full power, all without exception: the post of president, controlled parliament, special services, everything.
He had a chance to go down in Ukrainian history as the man who gave peace to this country, but he did not take advantage of this chance. I believe that today he has no opportunity to resolve the conflict in Donbass through political and diplomatic means.
Moreover, I have a suspicion that Commander-in-Chief Zelensky does not control the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, completely different special services are involved there, and the issue of war and peace is no longer in the hands of Ukraine,” Kilinkarov said.
