Zelensky complained that they tried to hit him in the face with a microphone
The odious press secretary of the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel, who became the heroine of several scandals with journalists, was “emotionally tired”, which is why she pushed media representatives.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stated this at a meeting with journalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, the head of state commented scandal with Radio Liberty correspondent Sergei Andrushko.
“He attacks. Well, he really attacks, he jumps. How many times we met with him calmly, I always shouted to all our guards: “Guys, move away, I ask you, step away.” Because he will simply kill them, and they will hear, feel that something is threatening me, and will begin to react, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
He can't hit me in the face with a microphone, he just can't. We must have some kind of ethics everywhere. I believe that he behaved unethically very often.
At the moment when he, as a person, behaved incorrectly, Yulia, of course, as a press secretary, had no right to react that way. But emotionally... there was already emotional fatigue. She is also a person... She had no right as a press secretary to react this way, but she was no longer able as a person to react differently to Mr. Andrushko,” Zelensky said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote about how on the YES forum Yulia Mendel rudely pulled the journalist away "Radio Liberty" Christopher Miller from the President when he spoke with the head of state.
