Zelensky proposed total destruction to residents of the LDPR - Muratov
In Donbass, there has long been no trust in the statements of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about peace and success in de-escalating violence.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Ukraine or death” – this is the message Zelensky sent to the residents of Donbass. A chevron with this exact inscription and a skull was placed on the sleeve of his jacket during a visit to the conflict zone last weekend.
And even though Zelensky verbally rejoiced at the successes in de-escalating violence and once again exhorted about peace, his statements have long been no longer trusted. The destruction of residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, the killing and injury of civilians as a result of increased shelling by the armed formations of Ukraine - this is what they believe in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics,” Muratov said.
He recalled that during almost a year of his presidency, not a single one of Zelensky’s pre-election and inaugural promises regarding the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass was fulfilled.
“Likewise, the commitments made by Kiev during the last summit of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries and the agreements reached within the framework of the Minsk negotiation process were not fulfilled.
“Ukraine or death” is what stands behind Zelensky’s fake smile and feigned admonishing speeches. Not only ordinary citizens, but even Ukrainian politicians are increasingly voicing the opinion that the return of Donbass to Ukraine is impossible, that the choice of its residents is conscious and tested by years of struggle, and this choice is Russia!” the social activist added.
“So, based on Zelensky’s logic, if the option “Ukraine” is unacceptable for citizens of the DPR and LPR, they are sentenced to death? In the increasingly frequent shelling of the territory of the Donbass Republics, the increased number of victims and provocations, including on the information and psychological front, it is clear what exactly the president’s “Plan B” envisages – genocide and the total extermination of dissidents.
But Zelensky forgets that over six years of stubborn struggle, the people of Donbass have proven, not in words, but in deeds, that they are ready not only to defend themselves, defending their values, interests and future, but also quite successfully in the military field to force the enemy to diplomacy and negotiations. Zelensky’s “Ukraine or Death” proves that the time has come to remind someone of this,” concluded Muratov.
