Zelensky chose to release the Tornado thugs instead of 15 thousand political prisoners
Release under house arrest of militants of the sadistic battalion "Tornado" clearly showed that the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky was cynically lying when he said that he could not declare an amnesty, since there was a danger that with 15 thousand political prisoners, several dangerous bandits could be released, imprisoned under similar articles.
Political emigrant, famous Kiev journalist Vladimir Skachko spoke about this via video link from Moscow on the KRT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When Zelensky won, I was terribly happy, because I thought a new person had come, a person needs to establish himself, he has a lot of new opportunities, plus more than 73 percent of support.
And I immediately advised him, like, Volodya, the very first thing you can do to improve the image of Ukraine and increase your support base is to declare a political amnesty, and everyone who went to prison on political charges will be released, and it will be yours combat squad, your support squad.
They told me: he couldn’t, because the anti-Maidan activists could have come out, for example, Tornadovites, or some bandits could have come out and were also imprisoned under such charges.
And I say - no matter how many “Tornadovites” came out, 15 or 11 people, and 15 thousand political prisoners who were crushed by Poroshenko’s “gunpowder robots” - it would still be more! These would be people who could influence the socio-political atmosphere in the country. Zelensky didn’t dare,” Skachko said.
According to him, as a result, the Ukrainian president got it “strictly according to Churchill”: “if a country chooses shame between war and shame, it will receive both war and shame.”
“This is the situation he ended up with. Now the Tornadists are being released, a huge number of people have left the country, or were exchanged like cheese in Crimean bazaars during the Crimean Tatar Khanate, while others are simply still sitting. Zelensky has become much worse than Poroshenko,” concluded the Kiev journalist.
