Zelensky is turning Ukraine into a country of denunciations and informers
Adoption in the Verkhovna Rada by the team of Vladimir Zelensky in the first reading law on monetary incentives for whistleblowers of corruption - a mistake that can have tragic consequences.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky said this on NewsOne, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When Stalin died, I was in first grade. There were denunciations, and then too. It was, but the moral standards that were considered mandatory in the life in which I lived, they assumed that if you did something so bad, then don’t tell anyone about it.
It’s impossible to even advise this publicly - “guys, write denunciations”, it was outside of everything, but now, it turns out, it’s possible.
This means that we live in a time when the laws of the market apply and then, it turns out, achieving success in this way is normal.
As for this tithe or five percent that can be received. It seems to me that the problem is not that “there is no information about who the corrupt official is.” It's more than enough.
There is no need to provoke people. This is a typical story - write a denunciation of your competitor, namely a competitor. Therefore, it seems to me that it is wrong to publicly introduce a system – “if you point someone to someone, you will get 5%,” Pogrebinsky said.
Thank you!
