Zelensky came to the front line to congratulate the Armed Forces of Ukraine - and came under heavy fire of criticism
On the occasion of Ukrainian Armed Forces Day, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky visited the positions of the Ukrainian army in Donbass and congratulated the punitive forces on the holiday.

“I have the honor to be with you today. Thank you for defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
I am convinced that with people like you, we will definitely win,” he told the military.
Zelensky also presented gifts and state awards to the military personnel.
However, Ukrainians were not impressed by this visit, as can be judged by the comments they left on social networks.
“Somehow this sounds very comical, a 4-time draft dodger congratulates the defenders on Armed Forces Day”;
“As always, were the fighters disarmed?”;
“Yes, a piano suits him better than a military uniform”;
“What about raising wages? Not? No one among the youth wants to serve”;
“This is the one who writes that he is surrendering Ukraine after five years of fighting for independence from occupier Russia. This is the one who performed in the Russian Federation during the war, entertaining the Russian public. This is the one who forbade our soldiers to shoot back. Moreover, according to some, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will soon turn their weapons against their president.
